All of Humanity is Yuri Except for Me- Manga Review

Title: All of Humanity is Yuri Except for Me

Author: Hiroki Haruse

Release date: May 2019

Status: Ongoing

Genre: Yuri, School Life, Sci-Fi, Romance

Synopsis: Marika Uruuno wakes up one day only to see that all of the men within humanity have disappeared. Not only that, but she later learns that she’s living in a parallel universe and she’s the only “straight” person. Will she be able to get back home?

My take: To be honest, the idea is rather interesting, but at one point, the story starts to make less sense and you get confused as to why the characters make it to certain places (such as they were on a date in one chapter and then the next, they’re on a beach/ in an abandoned lab). There are also a few plot holes such as the main character being in a parallel universe and it changes to her actually being a part of that universe but she’s really a test subject (if that doesn’t make sense, I apologize. Even I don’t understand how that works). I do think it is an interesting read and the last chapter ended on a cliffhanger so hopefully, it will make a lot more sense as the story progresses. For now, I’m just really confused about the sudden change. The chapters themselves are also fairly short.

For now, I’ll give All of Humanity is Yuri Except for Me 2 paws out of 5 🐾🐾. I decided to change the format for this review because I thought that it would be easier and more straight to the point than when I normally would write with paragraphs. Let me know if you guys like this format better or if you prefer the normal way I write the reviews. I hope you enjoyed reading this regardless. Until next time, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up, everyone! Nya! 🐾
