One Month Of Not Writing- Ramen Update

Hey guys!

Long time no see. I hope you all are doing well. I haven’t written/posted for about a month. Why? To be honest, I haven’t really felt like writing anything—despite there being a voice in the back of my head nagging me about writing the next post. I have made excuses to certain people that I have kept in contact with during the month—including Reese (my editor)—which in a way were valid for maybe a day or two such as me having to move into my dorm, having too much stress because of the protests happening on the island, Hurricane Dorian coming over which caused a lot of Hurricane María PTSD despite it not even touching the island (well that last one probably would’ve been longer than a day or two if it had touched the island due to not having power for a while). The nagging voice in the back of my head didn’t exactly make this easier because it would just make me feel worse and even more stressed from not having posted anything on a certain day.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I love to write. In fact, I have my own journal that I write in once to thrice a day since I like to get an idea out once it comes; however, I felt like I needed a break from writing both story-wise and blogging wise because I wasn’t exactly being organized with either. I also started to feel incredibly tired from the stress of keeping everything up-to-date while also balancing life in all of its hecticness. Now that I’ve been able to have time to reflect more about how I want to organize everything, from studying to blogging to writing stories, I am rather hopeful that I will be more consistent. I know I sound like a broken record from having to say this in previous posts, but I want to keep trying. This is what I love to do, and I want to continue to learn and grow as I go along.

Despite me being on break, I have written a couple of things I’d like to write about in my ideas journal which I will start working on as soon as possible. In fact, one of them is the final Hotel del Luna review since it finished literally today (as I am writing this, it’s September 1. It’ll most likely be the next day when this is posted) along with a couple of visual novels, anime, and other things. Thank you for being patient and until next time, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up, everyone! Nya! 🐾

  1. I took all of August off from blogging for a number of reasons and the first two weeks was very challenging. I had gotten used to writing every day and posting multiple posts a day. So the anxiety and feeling of failing or letting my followers down was always quite strong. But after the third week, I started to relax and it helped open me up to a bunch of others things I missed. Like drawing and watching or reading just for fun rather than to create content specifically. Now that I’m back, it feels strange after having gotten used to being away, but I also feel more mentally refreshed. I hope the break has helped you and you should always take all the time you need to rejuvenate. 💜
