This past week has been filled with so many new releases. Some good—some bad. However, one topic seemed to overpower them all—chickens.
Now, you probably know where I’m going to go with this—especially Reese (my editor) because I basically spammed them with my reactions to the game—but I’m going to talk about it because why not? Now, this isn’t going to be a review because I will be talking about two things that have been released with the topic of chickens— both on different spectrums of entertainment—also, I’m mostly going to release the mega fangirl that I have inside so..yeah this isn’t going to be professional in the slightest (which I will apologize ahead of time).
If you follow me on twitter, (or if you have me on whatsapp/facebook since they are my personal pages) you know that I couldn’t resist playing this when I heard about it. It’s absolutely free and even powered by KFC themselves—despite the development being by Psyop. I thought that the game was absolutely beautiful in the sense that it’s a dating sim for a popular fast-food franchise. There are many WTF moments when you play it for the first time (again..Reese knows about this because I basically spammed them with videos and pictures of my reactions) and the story is pretty decent—I’m not saying that it’s the best dating sim out there because it’s just a simple visual novel made for marketing purposes, but if you want to have a good laugh and don’t mind the strong craving for chicken after playing this, I do recommend it. I also love how one of the tags for the game itself is “Masterpiece”— which made me roll onto the floor laughing. Now, I wasn’t able to get the true ending—despite having played the game about 2-3 times, but I did see ManlyBadassHero get it, so I’ll put a link to his video here if you guys want to see it.
Chicken Noodle Soup- J-Hope and Becky G.
If you guys didn’t know, I am a major ARMY (BTS Fan)—even though they’re not the only K-pop group I like. When J-hope and Becky G teased on Twitter that they did a collab, social media was going crazy about it. As soon as it was released, so many memes of the song came out (of course). To be honest, I was wondering why “Chicken Noodle Soup” but then J-hope said that both him and Becky G listened to the song by Webstar, Young B ft. The Voice of Harlem while also decided to collab because the music that J-Hope used within the song reminded them both of the tunes that they would listen to growing up (from what I understood. If I’m wrong, please feel free to correct me). The MV had gotten 21 million views on Youtube within 24 hours and is currently at 28 million by the time that I’m writing this. Another thing I love is how this, just like in Super Junior’s “Lo Siento” ft. Leslie Grace, has both Korean and Spanish lyrics while also featuring a Latina.
That’s all for today. I apologize if this seemed like a random fangirl post instead of my regular thoughts/ reviews, but I hope you all enjoyed nonetheless.
