I’M STILL ALIVE!!! -UPDATE

Hey guys! Long-time no see!

I hope you all are doing well. This is just going to be an update since I haven’t been consistent with my posts for the past month or so. I really wanted the next post to be anime related, but I ended up having so many ideas at once that I didn’t know which one to choose (I’M SORRY!). Since this is an update post, I’ll explain everything that’s been going on.

1- I have a teaching job.

At the beginning of the semester, I got a job as an ESL teacher in a language school. While I am enjoying teaching the students, this means it does take me a bit of time to organize the lessons (what I teach and how I teach it). Do I see myself making teaching a career? Yes and no. I do see myself helping others with learning, but I don’t see myself dedicating my entire life to it. I see it more like something I can do on the side since what I want to do with my life is to travel and write.

2- NaNoWriMo

I’m currently doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) but I’m not working on an actual novel. I’m actually taking the month as a means to practice my writing whether it be with stories (mostly fanfics though) and poetry. I’ve been posting them every day on the page for my “mini-business” (more like a normal page since I haven’t really been getting any commissions) —Kitten’s Creations. I was planning on writing one post per day but I really wanted to work on other stuff (mostly fiction) that I’ve been leaving on the back burner for quite some time.

3- Getting a Master’s Degree

With having a lot of stress from college, I haven’t really had enough time, but I’m happy to announce that I will be graduating from my bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Foreign Languages in December. However, I also decided to apply for a master’s degree in Cultural Management and Administration in January and I won’t know if I’ve been accepted until the end of this month or at the beginning of the next one. This means that I will also be likely moving out of the dorm that I’ve been living in for about 4 years and move into an actual apartment (hopefully with a good internet connection).

4- Being a part of a K-pop dance group

Earlier this month, I saw that there was a K-pop dance group who were looking for new members and decided to join in. I’m still pretty insecure about the way that I dance along with how my body looks, but at the end of the day, it makes me happy. The other members were really welcoming and nice and I really like practicing and learning from them. With that being said… I might have to ask you guys a favor (I know this may look bad.. Me not posting for weeks on end only to put in a favor from you guys but please hear me out). A.C.E. is coming to Puerto Rico soon and members from the dance group that I’m in made a video of them doing a dance cover as a contest entry for a chance to meet A.C.E. I’m guessing you probably already see where I’m going with this, but if you can take a few seconds or minutes of your time to watch the video and hit the like button, that would be appreciated a thousand times. I really want them to meet the group since they worked so hard with practicing the song and working on the video. If you can, the video will be linked here.

The future of K.E.R?

I may sound like a broken record by now, but I will be posting soon. I’m still trying to see when and how often I should post since I don’t want to make any promises by saying “hey, I’m going to be posting every day” only to not post anything for weeks after (which I deeply apologize for and am grateful for you guys being so patient). Hopefully, I’ll find the time to schedule some posts for maybe next week or the week after since I’m finally going to have some time to breathe and relax for a while.
