Please note: I haven’t read the mini-novel that the anime is based off of yet. This is all my opinion based on what I’ve seen in the anime.

I mentioned this briefly in my “Pride Month 2020 favorites” post. It basically starts off with the gang leader bumping into the protagonist of the show after he kicked the trash can over out of anger. The gang leader punches him because of that. After observing how the protagonist presented himself (a lonely guy with a rather over-priced watch), he asked for one of his friends (a member of the gang) to follow him to see if the protagonist was a part of another separate gang. Of course, this was a complete misunderstanding. The art itself is standard art when it comes to Chinese anime. The voice actors did a very good job. There are many cute moments in the anime (such as the artist making a sand painting of the gang leader—I screamed when I saw it).

Now, the sad thing about the anime itself is that it keeps the relationship between the two main male characters a “friendship”—despite them living together, having a lot of intimate moments, etc. If I’m not mistaken I saw someone saying that they do show their full relationship in the mini-novel. This is probably just my fujoshi self not being satisfied with them keeping their relationship as “friends” in the anime when everything is pointing to them actually having a romantic relationship (I’ve talked about this with Reese and they said that I should also read the novel for the Untamed since they also do the same thing in the drama).

With that being said, I give Antidote 3 paws out of five 🐾🐾🐾. The overall plot was good. I didn’t like how they kept the relationship as “just friends”, but I’ll see what happens in the mini novel itself. That’s it for today. Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed it. Until next time, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up everyone! Nya! 🐾
