Synopsis: “Yunho is the lead singer of a rock band haunted by a painful past where he lost his entire family in a car accident as a young boy. He’s crestfallen to hear the one person who was always there to console him in life, Kyung-hoon, has fallen in love with another man. Yunho runs away in shock only to bump into a mythical tiger, Hanwool. Hanwool picks up a sweet scent in the air and although he has no interest in humans, he is intrigued by Yunho. And so, we see the beginning of a sweet love story about overcoming the pain of wounded hearts” (Taken from: LezhinComics).

From a fangirl standpoint, I absolutely love everything about this. I binge-read the entire thing in 3 hours starting at 3:00 a.m. From an analytical perspective…I did find some things that were a bit off to me. Now, I know that the trope of the strong guy being a softie for their precious one is rather popular, however, at one point it does get a bit tiring. But, as a fangirl, I love this kind of trope because I find it absolutely adorable. Another thing that bothered me was how everyone was questioning whether or not Yunho is the reincarnation of the butterfly that was in love with Hanwool centuries before the events within the manhwa take place. People kept on saying “yes, he is the butterfly” or “no he isn’t” which can make someone rather confused about it all. It made me think of how they also did it with Goblin (a korean drama that was popular in 2016) when the protagonist asked what life she had and they said it was her first life, and yet the male lead said that she had a past life with him (it was really confusing). Anyway, other than that, the overall plot and story was good. It always made sure to keep you on your toes and some parts felt realistic (especially when word came out that Yunho was gay and people were still trying to be more open-minded about people in the LGBTQ+ community).

With that being said, I give Biting The Tiger 3 paws out of 5 🐾🐾🐾. It is really cute and your heart absolutely melts with the relationship between Yunho and Hanwool. There are a few things that did seem a bit off for me, but from a fangirl standpoint, I absolutely loved it. I really recommend you read this. That’s it for today! I hope you all enjoyed reading this. Until next time, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up, everyone! Nya! 🐾
