The year 2022 is finally ending, which means that many resolutions and goals are going to be made. I, myself, do have quite a few things that I would like to accomplish within the upcoming year. While I do have a few personal goals that I would like to get done, I’m mostly going to write here the professional goals that I have in mind (especially since it also relates to this website as well). Here are my goals for 2023.
- Be a more consistent content creator
I know I might’ve said this previously in past years, but I really want to be more consistent as a content creator. I have certainly achieved being more consistent as a streamer. I also have been able to somehow merge the time streaming and writing by doing work/ study with me streams. I want to further that by creating a more consistent schedule when it comes to doing more research on what kinds of content to create, learning how to edit videos and audio better, and just overall being able to meet deadlines (which I admit I do struggle quite a bit with). My editor, beautiful being that they are, is so patient with me, but I know that they want to see me create more content (within my own limits). So I want to be able to create more content just because it’s something that I love doing. And there’s also this cycle where I procrastinate working on creating content only to then ask myself “why am I not doing this everyday? This is fun!” whenever I finally get to doing it.
- Get to know more people within the Aniblog, VA, and VTuber community
Despite having met so many amazing people within this year and the one before, I want to be able to get to know more people within the communities that I am in. I want to be able to collab with them a lot more. I want to learn so much from other people. I want to be able to grow and be proud of others’ growth as well. I have so many friends that I want to support and I want to also be able to do the same with people I have yet to meet. As a content creator—or rather in any business/ industry really—networking is important. I want to be able to network and to also create lasting friendships with people within these amazing communities.
- Learn at least one thing per week
I know this may seem like more of a personal goal, but I want to be able to learn at least one new thing per week— whether that be about writing, voice acting, editing, streaming, ect. I want to learn as much as I can within the upcoming year. I have many books and resources, but I never really set much time to do much about it. I want to learn at least one thing per week by taking maybe just 2 minutes of my time to look something up or just maybe reading 2 pages of a book—whatever it is, I plan on making the most of my time. I learned the 2 pages/ 2 minutes method from Lixian when he was talking about his goals for the upcoming year as well. I feel like it’s an amazing system—especially for someone like me who has a very small attention span.
- Study Music
I have 2 reasons why I want to study music throughout the year. The first one is that I want to release an original song onto my YouTube channel. Throughout the year, I have been posting covers, but ever since I was younger, I wanted to release my own songs and have people listen to them. The second reason—which more or less relates to the first one—is that I want to improve my singing. I love singing, but I always felt rather insecure with my own voice. I want to get to know my voice better and learn how to improve it in any and every way possible. In doing so, I also hope it will help me with voice acting.
That’s it for this upcoming year’s goals. Thank you so much for reading. I really appreciate it. Here’s to a new year! Until next time, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up, everyone! Nya! 🐾
