History Maker Music Video- 2 Years Later

About two weeks ago, A-Sketch Music Label released the music video for the classic and beloved “History Maker” by Dean Fujioka AKA the theme song for Yuri On Ice. Two years later, and the song is still as heartfelt with hypnotic beats and passionate violin as it was when it was first released in Yuri On Ice.

The video itself has a lot of special effects and symbolism which is a perfect match for the song itself since both are inspirational. It starts off with the singer in a train writing something in a notebook until he drops a pen. A girl dressed in red passes by, picks up the pen and runs into the other cars of the train- causing him to follow her. As soon as he gets on the next cart, the magic starts and it is absolutely beautiful. My favorite symbolic act of the video itself is when he finally grabs the pen from the girl and the pen becomes a baton as he’s conducting the orchestra in one of the cars which means things such as conducting your own life, dreams and making great things happen.

The one thing that still bothers me, though, is the fact that they waited 2 years to release it since it would’ve gained a lot of traction had it been released more or less in the same time as Yuri On Ice. It looked a bit like bad marketing in that aspect; however, it is understandable since Dean Fujioka is going to release a new album called “History In The Making” this upcoming spring.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this. Until next time, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up, everyone! Nya! 🐾
