Manga I wouldn’t recommend to people

I love reading manga. Whether it be romance, detective, ect, I love spending hours upon hours on my screen reading. Most of the time when I do reviews, I normally have a critical eye for stuff that have potential or missed the mark by a margin; however, I can’t say that for every kind of manga. Over the years, I have read manga that make me wonder why anyone would read it to begin with or question the author’s sanity as the story progresses. Whether it be because of how toxic certain characters may be or because the story might be completely triggering to begin with, here are two mangas I wouldn’t recommend in the slightest. Please note that this is a list with manga that I have pulled through to the end. No manga that I haven’t finished/ manga that I have forgotten the title of will be included in this list.

1- Detained

During Pride Month, I made a post about how the couple within the manga is toxic, and I still stand by it. Whoever says that they are relationship goals absolutely frighten me because the relationship is based on obsession and Stockholm Syndrome.

2- Redemption Camp

I would’ve saved this for Halloween since it is a rather scary webtoon to read; however the high levels of violence, especially rape, is very much present. The webtoon is about how a group of men get revenge on a woman who basically ruined their lives by taking her hostage and torturing her in every way possible. This also touches topics such as cults and psychopathic tendencies. This is definitely a webtoon to read at your risk. I don’t recommend it if you’re sensitive to the topics mentioned.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this. Until next time, keep your paws and bowls of ramen up, everyone! Nya! 🐾
